The latest Detox commitment is supported by the Benetton Group, which owns the brands such as Sisley, Playlife and most famously and most Worldwide recognized of all – United Colors of Benetton. Their commitment is to HELP eliminate all the releases of hazardous chemicals throughout its entire global supply chain and products by the year 2020. And we, here at The Fashion Obsession, applaud to that amazing initiative. The biggest recognition, that came officially and that we wanted to tell you about, came from Greenpeace , which is such a huge confirmation of the positive value by the Benetton Group, who is continuing the development of the sustainable activity. It is also a big inspiration for further intensifying of the front-line efforts to protect people and safeguard local communities, wherever the company operates, both within Italy and throughout the world.
Benetton Group products already respect the most strict International standards with regards to safety. And this growing commitment has recently resulted with the Group’s progressive application of the ECO SAFE label to its product lines: the latest in many initiatives Benetton has adopted over the years. All of this is doing so much good in order to ensure, that by the year 2020, none of its suppliers is making use of chemical substances, which are equally and potentially harmful to the environment or to individuals. Benetton Group has also recently joined the International ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) coalition for eliminating emissions of dangerous chemical substances. We also wanted to mention how high profiled fashion brands like Valentino and Benetton are the leaders in detox fashion companies. According to Sfilata DETOX (Detox Catwalk) by Greenpeace, interactive platform that evaluates 24 GLOBAL FASHION BRANDS.
