Trending right now
We have obviously noticed how huge of a trend velvet looks are going to become, way over six months ago, when they were first presented on the runways of Milan, New York and Paris. But, we are in the middle of the Fall/Winter season now, and this trend is about to explode. When high street and designer stores have started selling their latest collections for Fall (almost couple of months ago), everyone was going crazy over velvet boots, shoes and accessories. Meanwhile the trend has crossed over to (as it was already seen on the runways, that you can admire in our gallery selection above) blazers, jumpsuits, jackets, tops and dresses. You don’t have to worry though, it’s not only high designer brands like Chloe, Valentino, Armani, Sonia Rykiel, Altuzzara, or Pucci that are offering some amazing selection of velvet inspired looks, because you are easily going to find your “velvet shopping fix” at “Zara” (or the high street brand of your choice). Starting with these Zara velvet wide leg pants, from their Fall/Winter 2015 collection.
As we were mentioning above, it has all started with the boots and then it progressed to full on velvet looks. You can check out much closer look, of the velvet boots from Zara, “Christy” ballet ballerinas by Aquazzura, velvet platform brogues by Stella McCartney and Gianvito Rossi velvet Mary Janes.
As we all know, no trend can be complete without having stars, celebs and fashionistas rocking the very trend as well. Here are only some of the ladies, that are clearly loving it, like all around fashionista and book author Alexa Chung, Hollywood star Kate Hudson and Fashion Editor at My Theresa, Veronika Heilbrunner.
