David Yurman’s first ever campaign shot in color
The very first major ad campaign for David Yurman was released back in 1999, featuring the 90’s Supermodel, Amber Valetta, and shot by celebrated fashion photographer, Peter Lindbergh. Meanwhile, Lindbergh’s black and white images for the brand have become legendary, while embodying effortless American luxury and the joy of wearing beautiful jewelry, as stated on the brand’s official web site. “Mr Lindbergh’s images depicted the experience of wearing jewelry as sensual and emotional,” as the latest press release is stating as well, “an ethos that now continues in Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot’s photographs.” For the last 15 years, ladies who starred in David Yurman’s campaigns were, already mentioned Amber Valetta, then Gisele Bundchen, Kate Upton, Dree Hemingway, Anais Mali, Catrinel Marlon and for the last couple of years, Kate Moss (among others). The newest edition, for the brand’s new visuals and aesthetic, is a German Supermodel and current IT Girl, Anna Ewers. One thing though, that all of the ads had in common, was the just mentioned luxury jewelry brand’s main signature, black and white aesthetic, but only until now that is.
And so, for the first time in the brand’s history, David Yurman has debuted his latest advertising campaign, shot entirely in color. Kate Moss and Anna Ewers are the stars of these brand new colorful ads, perfect for this 2015 holiday season, shot by adoring photography duo, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, with immediately recognizable fashion styling by always amazing and unique, Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele.
